James Suckling- Feb 2016
Lots of dried melon, wax and lemon rind. Medium to full body, fresh acidity and a clean finish. Classic white Bordeaux from 75% sauvignon blanc and 25% semillon. Drink now.

The 2013 Carbonnieux has quite an upfront and "confident" nose within the context of the 2013 vintage, emboldened with upfront redcurrant and cranberry fruit mixed with damp soil/woodland aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp tannic backbone: just a touch of sour cherry intermingling with the black fruit with fine precision towards the poised and nicely detailed, almost gravelly finish. This is a very respectable Pessac-Léognan that should drink well over the next 10 years.
