The 2018 Bourgogne Blanc is a blend of vines planted three years ago with another parcel planted 22 years back. It has a well-defined, refreshing bouquet of apricot blossom and Golden Delicious apple. The palate is well defined with citrus lemon and light peach notes and nicely weighted toward the finish. An excellent Bourgogne Blanc from Anne Gros.
A slightly riper nose reveals notes of white peach, pear, floral and a pretty spice hint. The richer and fleshier if slightly less vibrant flavors possess a caressing mouthfeel that carries over to the easy-going, pliant and delicious finish. This too should drink well essentially on release.
